About us
Established in 1984, Joe’s Suburban Club is home to over thirty-six Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) and Al-Anon meetings every week. Located in Riverview, the club provides a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free space for individuals seeking support in their journey with alcohol recovery. We believe no one should face alcohol abuse alone, and our doors are open to anyone who wants help, hope, or simply a place to be understood. Through shared experience, mutual respect, and confidentiality, we foster an environment where healing can begin—one day at a time.

A few things we’re good at

Safe & Judgment-Free Environment
Making every member feel welcomed, respected, and heard is essential. A good AA club prioritizes confidentiality, inclusivity, and emotional safety so individuals can share openly without fear of stigma or judgment.

Consistent & Supportive Fellowship
Strong recovery is built on connection. An effective AA club offers reliable meetings, peer support, and opportunities to build relationships that encourage accountability, understanding, and long-term sobriety.

Accessibility & Community Outreach
Being easy to find, attend, and participate in matters. This includes convenient meeting times, clear communication, and outreach efforts that let people know help is available—especially to those who may be seeking support for the first time.
Get started
Getting started with an AA program is a simple but powerful first step toward recovery. Whether it’s your first meeting or you’re returning after time away, you’ll find a supportive, judgment-free community ready to walk alongside you. You don’t need to have all the answers—just a willingness to show up and take recovery one day at a time.
A beacon of light
Our club serves as a beacon of light during life’s darkest moments, offering hope and guidance to those struggling with alcohol abuse. Here, you never have to face the journey alone—our supportive community is ready to listen, understand, and walk with you every step of the way. Together, we turn struggle into strength, one day at a time.
